POP-UP PATIOS!

Hello,

We are at POP-UP PATIOS this Sat. Sept 1st. We have been trying to get here all summer long, so we are so excited. We have a great small menu for everyone passing by on the canal. If you don't know the POP-UP is on the canal across from the NAC. We look forward to offering some tasty treats!

MENU.

Thymne lemon fizzy  $3
Water $2.50

Mole chicken sliders  $8
Sweet onions, avocado,
Truck made bbq potato
chips.

Queso fresco, and mozzarella $8
Quesadillas with basil, red chiles,
and charred corn relish. Served with
quick pickled veggies.

Tres Leche Cake  $4

Stewart Park music festival!

Hello,
Perth music featival is only a week away, and we're so excited to be apart of it for the first time. I'm currently putting together a menu but it looks like I'll have some bbq brisket for the festival.
Also, Relish has a spot at U of O starting in Sept. We will be there all winter long and looking forward to offering some tasty food.
I will be back soon with a complete menu for stewart park festival.

Here We Go!!!

Only a day away to Westfest...Its been a crazy couple of weeks but now I'm able to focus on the food. Yah!. The truck has come out of K6 media for the last time, and thanks again they did a great job. The design of the truck was done by a good friend of mine Steve Capyk...also a great potter...also a great chef. Steve has helped me in so many ways and has supported me along the way. Thank you!

I have a wonderful crew this weekend they are Janice Toll and Luke Bowen. They have been my line mates at Fraser Cafe for the last two years, and the perfect duo for my first event. I'm located just beside Baker Street Cafe..come down and check us out.

Westfest Menu!

Here is our first menu,

Homemade beverage:

Strawberry/Raspberry/Mint fizzy.

Starter:

Smoke trout and bacon gaucamole with lime wedge and homemade cumin chips.

Mains:

Crispy fried green tomato sandwich with home made potato chips.
    panko breaded green tomato/basil mayo/smoked mozzarella/pickled red onions/lettuce.

Haddock N Chips.
    beer battered haddock/house made tartar sauce/fries.

Masa cakes with jerk chicken and mango salsa.
    home made jerk sauce/pulled roasted chicken/mango salsa/slaw/cilantro.


Dessert:

Fresh mini doughnuts filled with home made strawberry sauce.

     I think this a great first menu, and I hope everyone can find something they like. See you all on Jun 9th and 10th.

Relish festival schd.

Hello everyone,

Here is my current festival schd. More dates may be added as they come in.

  • Westfest Jun 9th and 10th.
  • Ross & Laura's wedding July 7th.
  • Perth music festival ( Stewart Park ) July 20th - 22nd.
  • Rideau Canal festival Aug. 3rd - 6th.
  • Ottawa Folk festival Sept. 6th - 10th.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, and very excited to meet new ones.
The truck now has a name its the Kurbmaster, but Kurbie for short.

WHAT'S UP!

Hello everyone,

It's been a very busy last couple of weeks...I've had to pull out of the Children's  Festival, I'm still firming up permits and inspections. Great news...the truck is now wrapped. Thank you to the guys at K6 media everyone there did a great job, my dream is one step closer. I will have pics up soon.

I'm trying to have the truck ready for Westfest on Jun 9th and 10th, I will be on wellington street ready to serve you some great food...still firming up the menu.

BIG THANK YOU!

I'm almost there....Its been about six months now since I bought the truck and now we're in the home stretch. I just want to thank all the people(you know who you are) who were apart of this journey with me. Without you I would not have been able to pull this off in such a short time, you guys are amazing!
I also want to give a special thanks to my wife who has been so supportive, and has done a wonderful job with the kids while I've been busy.
